بررسي آگاهي،دانش ونگرش دندان‌پزشكان شهراصفهان در مورد كاربرد سلول‌هاي بنيادي دنداني در دندان‌پزشكي

Evaluation of awareness, knowledge and attitudes of dental practitioners in isfahan regarding dental stem cells and their applications in dentistry

مقدمه: سلول‌هاي بنيادي كه توانايي خودتكثيري و تمايز به حداقل دو نوع مختلف سلولي را دارند، مي‌توانند در درمان بسياري از بيماري‌ها نقش مهمي را ايفا كنند. هدف از اين طرح، بررسي آگاهي، دانش و نگرش دندان‌پزشكان شهر اصفهان در مورد كاربرد سلول‌هاي بنيادي دنداني در دندان‌پزشكي بود. مواد و روش‌ها: پژوهش حاضر مطالعه‌اي توصيفي- مقطعي بوده كه بر اساس طراحي يك پرسش‌نامه ساختاريافته‌اي خودايفا با سوالات بسته در بين 391 نفر دندان‌پزشك عمومي و متخصص شهر اصفهان انجام گرفت. داده‌هاي به دست آمده با آزمون‌هاي اسپيرمن، تي‌تست و مجذور كاي آناليز و مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفت (05/0 = ?). يافته‌ها: نمونه كلي پژوهش شامل 391 دندان‌پزشك عمومي و متخصص شاغل در شهر اصفهان بود. از اين تعداد 245 نفر دندان‌پزشك عمومي و 63 نفر متخصص با مفهوم كلي واژه"سلول بنيادي" آشنايي داشتند. ميانگين سن در كل پژوهش فوق 41 سال بود. ازميان دندان‌پزشكان (2/22%) سابقه‌ي كار كمتر از 5 سال و (1/27%) بين 5 تا 10 سال و (8/50%) بيشتر از 10 سال داشتند. ميانگين نمره كل آگاهي 92/3، دانش 63/2، نگرش 6/38 بود. ارتباط بين ميانگين نمره آگاهي، دانش و نگرش نسبت به يكديگر نشان داد كه بين آگاهي و دانش ارتباط مستقيم و معني‌‌داري مشاهده شد (001/0 > p value 608/0 =r) اما بين آگاهي و نگرش ارتباط معني‌دار وجود نداشت (085/0 =p value 099/0 =r ) و بين دانش و نگرش نيز ارتباط معني‌داري يافت نشد (332/0 = p value 055/0 =r ). نتيجه‌گيري: داده‌هاي به دست آمده مشخص ساخت كه با وجود آگاهي و نگرش مثبت نسبتا بالا، دانش در مورد كاربرد سلول‌هاي بنيادي ضعيف است. كليد واژه‌ها: آگاهي، دانش، نگرش، دندان‌پزشك، سلول‌هاي بنيادي.

Stem cells which are capable of self-proliferation and differentiation into at least two different types of cells can play a major role in the treatment of various diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate awareness, knowledge and attitudes of dental practitioners in Isfahan regarding stem cells and their applications in the dental field. This cross-sectional study was based on designing a structured self-functioning questionnaire, with close-ended questions. The questionnaire was distributed among 391 general dentists and specialists in Isfahan. Data were analyzed with SPSS 22 using Spearman’s test, t-test and chi-squared test (?=0.05). Of 391 dental practitioners working in Isfahan, 245 general dentists and 63 specialists were familiar with the term "stem cells". The mean age of the subjects in this research was 41 years. Of these dentists, 86 (22.2%) had job experience less than 5 years and 105 (27.11%) had 5?10 years of experience and 197 (50.8%) had job experience over 10 years. The mean awareness score was 3.92, with mean knowledge and attitude scores of 2.63 and 38.6, respectively. The correlation between mean awareness, knowledge and attitude scores showed a direct and significant correlation between awareness and knowledge (r=0.608, p value < 0.001). However, there was no significant correlation between awareness and attitude (r=0.099, p value = 0.085). In addition, there was no significant correlation between knowledge and attitude (r=0.055, p value = 0.332). The results showed that despite high level awareness and relatively positive attitude toward stem cells, knowledge on the application of stem cells was low.
