با پيروزي انقلاب مشروطه در ايران، هواداران استبداد در منطقه ماكو پشت سر محمدعلي شاه قرار گرفتند و به مقابله با نظام جديد و نهادهاي آن پرداختند. همچنين هواداران مشروطيت در خوي براي دفاع از دستاوردهاي انقلاب گروه هاي مجاهد تشكيل دادند و به مقابله با مستبدين ماكو پرداختند. حاصل اين نزاع خود را در قالب جنگ ها و كشتارهاي وسيعي از طرفين نشان داد. در اين پژوهش با روش توصيفي- تحليلي به زمينه هاي آغاز منازعه مشروطه خواهان خوي با مستبدين ماكو، نتايج و عوامل دخيل در آن پرداخته شده است. يافته ها نشان مي دهد گرايش هاي فكري و خاستگاه طبقاتي متفاوت خوانين ماكو با مشروطه خواهان خوي از عوامل اصلي درگيري آنها در صدر انقلاب مشروطه بود. اين اختلافات همچنين بازتابي از تقابل طرفداران استبداد و مشروطه خواهان در ديگر مناطق ايران بود كه در اين منطقه با كشتارهاي فراواني همراه گرديد.

By the victory of Constitutional Revolution in Iran, royalists of Maku backed Mohammad-Ali Shah and began to confront with the new political system and its institutions. Also, liberals of Khoy formed the Mojahid groups and started to encounter the royalists of Maku to defend the gains of the revolution. The outcome of these conflicts appeared in the form of wars and massacres between the two parties. This descriptiveanalytical study has shed some light on the reasons, results, and the related issues leading to triggering of conflicts between the Constitutionalists of Khoy and despots of Maku. Findings indicate that differences in intellectual tendency and origin and social class of the royalists of Maku with the Constitutionalists of Khoy had an important role in conflicts between them. Also these conflicts were the reflection of opposition between the despots and constitutionalists in other areas of Iran.
