واكاوي مفهوم ضرب در احاديث تنبيه كودكان براي نماز

A careful study on the meaning of “ḍarb” (beating) in traditions dealing with punishment of children for praying

در مصادر حديثي در باره تربيت ديني كودكان روايات زيادي وجود دارد كه در ميان آنها مراقبت بر نماز فرزندان جايگاه ويژه اي را به خود اختصاص داده است. در اين بين، احاديثي به چشم مي خورد كه به سبب وجود واژه ضرب، در نگاه اول، از آنها فهميده مي شود كه معصومان (ع) والدين را به زدن كودك در صورت سرپيچي از خواندن نماز ترغيب كرده اند. اين نوشتار در پي اثبات آن است كه با توجه به شواهد لغوي، حديثي، سيره اهل بيت (ع) و يافته هاي روان شناختي، اين برداشت نادرست بوده و واژه «ضرب» در اين احاديث به معناي ملتزم كردن كودك بر خواندن نماز به منظور تمرين و آماده سازي براي دوران بلوغ است.

In hadith resources there exist numerous traditions with regard to religious training of the children among which being watchful of their prayers has allotted a notable position to this issue. Among them certain traditions are found that because of occurrence of the term “ḍarb” in them, what is understood in the first look is that the Infallibles (a.s) have encouraged the parents to beat their children in case they disobey the command of offering their prayers! This article intends to prove that considering the evidences available in lexicology, traditions, and the life and conduct (sīrah) of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s), as well as the psychological findings, this is a case of miscomprehension and that the term “ḍarb” in these traditions denotes ‘to oblige the children to pray with the purpose of practicing and making them ready for the period of maturity'.
