ناحيه تاريخي شهرها ميراث ارزشمندي است كه در طول زمان در هويت بخشي به حيات شهري نقش ويژهاي ايفا ميكند. در اين ميان، نقش مديريت شهري در برنامه ريزي مناطق تاريخي شهرها بسيار تعيين كننده است. ازاين رو، با توجه به اهميت مسئله مقاله حاضر به بررسي و تحليل عملكرد مديريت شهري در توسعه كالبدي -فيزيكي مناطق شهريزد مي پردازد. پژوهش حاضر از نظر اهداف در زمره تحقيقات كاربردي بوده و روش پژوهش نيز، توصيفي- تحليلي ميباشد. جهت جمع آوري داده ها از روش كتابخانه اي، اسنادي (استفاده از آمار،اطلاعات و نقشه سازمان ها) و پيمايشي استفاده شده است. از مدل آنتروپي شانون جهت وزن دهي شاخص هاي تحقيق و از مدل واسپس جهت رتبه بندي شده است. يافته هاي اين پژوهش با توجه به بررسي سه منطقه شهر مبين آن است كه مناطق شهر يزد به دليل وجود بافت هاي تاريخي و فرسوده از لحاظ شاخص كالبدي ضعيف مي باشد، كه در اين تحقيق به رتبه بندي و مقايسه هر سه منطقه با توجه با شاخص كالبدي و علل آنها و راهكارهاي پيشنهادي پرداخته شده است. بررسي ها نشان مي دهد منطقه 3 به دليل ابنيه بافت فرسوده و تاريخي كمتري كه دارد، رتبه نخست را دارا ميباشد. منطقه دو و يك در رتبه هاي بعدي قرار مي گيرند.
