هر چند كه ايرانيان از دير باز با آمريكا آشنايي داشتند، اما دوري مسافت ميان دو كشور و رقابت روسيه و انگلستان، مانعي بر سر راه روابط دو كشور بود. وقوع جنگ جهاني دوم و رسيدن دامنه آن به ايران، مرحله اي مهم در روابط دو كشور پديد آورد. متفقين، علي رغم اعلام رسمي بي طرفي ايران، كشورمان را اشغال كردند. آمريكا براي كمك به دولت هاي متفق، ارتش خود را وارد ايران كرد و اين مساله، باب مداخله اين كشور را در ايران گشود. مقاله حاضر با روش توصيفي - تحليلي و با استفاده از اسناد آرشيوي، در پي پاسخ به اين پرسش است كه پيامدهاي حضور آمريكايي ها در جنگ جهاني دوم بر كشور ايران چه بود؟ بر اساس يافته هاي پژوهش، ايالات متحده آمريكا در اين برهه زماني با كمك مالي به ايران از طريق قانون وام و اجاره و نيز فرستادن مستشار مالي براي مساعدت و معاضدت با دول متفق و ايران كوشش كرد، اما حضور ارتش اين كشور در ايران آثاري چون هرج و مرج اجتماعي و اعمال غيرقانوني اقتصادي نيز در پي داشت.

Iranians have known Ametica for a long time, however, the long geographical distance coupled with Anglo-Russian tivalries created obstacles in the way of the relations between the two. The outbreak of the Second World War and its spillovet· into Iran was a critical stage in mutual relations. Although Iran officially declared neutrality, it was occupied by the allied forces. To provide the Allied forces with help and backup American military force entered Iran, an event which marked the beginning of a series of intervention by the US in Iran. The current atticle employs descriptiveanalytical method and uses Archived docwnents to find answers to the question as to what the consequences of American presence in Iran were during the Second World War. The research fmdings suggest that during this period Iran benefited from US financial aid in the framework of Lend-Lease Act, and Ametican financial advisors arrived in h·an to provide help to the Allies, however, this all led to social chaos and illegal financial activities
