Iran-Japan Cultural Relations in the Pahlavi Period

از سابقه روابط فرهنگي ايران و ژاپن در ادوار پيشين تا قرن نوزدهم، اطلاعات اندكي در دست است. پس از انقلاب ميجي، توجه به كشورهاي مشرق زمين از جمله ايران اهميت يافت. در قرن بيستم به تدريج روابط فرهنگي نيز هم پايه روابط سياسي توسعه يافت: اعزام دانشجو، ايران شناسي، باستان شناسي و تاسيس نهادهايي مانند انجمن ادبي و كميته تمدن ايران و ژاپن از مهم ترين نشانه هاي گسترش روابط فرهنگي است. در اين مقاله، مناسبات فرهنگي دو كشور در دوره پهلوي بر اساس اسناد آرشيو وزارت امور خارجه بررسي خواهد شد.

Little is known about the history of cultural relations between Iran and Japan prior to the 19th century. The post-Miji revolution Japan assigned more importance to expanding relations with the Orient, namely h·an. Cultural relations developed in parallel with political ties in the twentieth century: student exchange, Iranology, archeology and establishment of various institutions such as the Literature Association and the Committee for Iran-Japan Civilizations were definitive signs of the cultural element of bilateral relations. The current article has drawn upon the documents found at the Archive of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study the cultural relations between the two countries.
