فرهنگ و ادب فارسي همواره طلايه دار مهر و محبت بوده و در عرصه حكمت و تربيت انساني، در كاروان شعر و ادب جهان سهمي شايسته داشته است. روح لطيف و بي بديل عرفاني آن، زيباترين جلوه هاي انساني و پسند يده هاي اخلاقي را در دل آموزه هاي خويش جاي داده است. تاثير ارزشمند و پايدار انديشه هاي عارفانه فارسي در زبان ها و فرهنگ هاي همجوار و دميدن روح مشترك انساني موجب غناي روز افزون فرهنگي اين حوزه بوده است. كشورهاي منطقه اكو، در طول تاريخ ديرينه خود، كانون مناسبات خانقاهي و عرصه پايدار عرفان و تصوف به شمار مي آمده اند. حضور انبوهي از مشايخ و پيران طريقت در اين سامان و تجربه همزيستي مسالمت آميز همراه با آزاد انديشي و روحيه مدارا و تحمل گرايي، بنياني سترگ است و مي تواند الگويي مناسب و ترازي قابل اعتماد در مناسبات آينده به شمار آيد و توانمندي بالقوه و ذاتي اين بخش از جهان را براي مقابله با خشونت و كينه ورزي و تعصب به ويژه در دنياي امروز فراهم آورد.

Persian culture and literature have always been the vanguard of love and kindness and have made great contributions to the world poetry and literature. Its spirit of mysticism is unmatched, and its teaching reflects the most sublime human splendor and morality. Persian mystic thought has exerted a precious lasting influence on neighboring languages and cultures and has infused this region with a common sense of humanity which has enriched the overall cultural landscape. ECO region nations have long been considered the seat of mysticism and mystic monastery (Khanqah) relations. The presence of a good number of mystic mentors and the Elders of Sufi Order in this region is proof of peaceful coexistence coupled with the free flow of ideas and spirit of moderation and tolerance, which, is a solid basis and can serve as an appropriate model and yardstick against which future relations could be weighed. This region of the world has immense intrinsic potentials for countering extremism, hatemongering and prejudice in this day and age.
