The Function of Love in Berthold Brechtייs Turandot

توراندخت، بر نام شاهدخت يكي از روايت‌هاي هزار و يك‌روز است كه تا امروز مايه خلاقيت بسياري از ادباي ايران و نمايشنامه‌نويسان جهان بوده، ولي شناخت آن در ايران مغفول مانده است. برتولت برشت نمايشنامه‌نويس پركار و نظريه‌پرداز نمايشنامه روايي يا غيرارسطويي سده بيستم توانسته با استفاده از بنمايه روايت توراندخت، نوآوري‌هاي شگرفي آفريده و به قول خود غروب خرد و عقلانيت عصرش را به تصوير بكشد. علي‌رغم پژوهش‌هايي كه درباره نظريه ادبي برشت و آفرينش‌هاي منظوم و منثورش انجام يافته، هنوز جستار مستقلي نسبت به شناخت نمايشنامه توراندخت ارايه نشده است. مقاله حاضر با در نظر داشتن اين فقر پژوهشي، نخست در بخش مباني نظري تحقيق به منشا تاريخي روايت توراندخت و نوآوري برشت در استفاده از بنمايه عشق و پرسش اشاره داشته آن‌گاه، ديگر آثاري را كه درباره توراندخت انجام يافته، معرفي كرده و در پايان با توصيف نمايشنامه توراندخت روي به تحليل ويژگي‌هاي اين نمايشنامه و نوآوري‌هاي آن آورده است.

Turandot is the title of a warlike woman in The Narrations of One Thousand and One Days which has become the source of creativity for many Iranian classic poets and world dramatist up to now, but the study of this drama has been neglected in Iran. Berthold Brecht is one of the diligent playwrights and narrative theatre practitioners and theorists of the 20th century. He has made many wonderful achievements and innovations in Turandot. Brecht wanted to portray the sunset of reason and rationality in his time. The main plot of this ten-act drama was written in 1921 but its final product was presented in 1954. Despite the many researches that have been done on Brechtʹs prose and verse yet no independant research has been carried out on understanding Turandot. This paper has considered this dearth of research and has therefore referred to the historical origin of Turandot and Brechtʹs innovation in the use of the motif of love. By describing this drama, Brechtʹs innovations and features of Turandot has been analyzed.
