نقش فناوري اطلاعات در اتاق خبر، اهميت ويژه‌اي دارد. مسيله اساسي، چگونگي استفاده و بهره‌گيري از فناوري‌هاي اطلاعات در اتاق‌هاي خبر شبكه‌هاي خبري تلويزيوني و تاثير آن بر عملكرد اتاق‌هاي خبر با هدف افزايش سطح كمي و كيفي توليدات خبري در شبكه‌هاي خبري تلويزيوني است. پژوهش حاضر كه با روش كيفي انجام گرفته است، عوامل موثر بر به‌كارگيري فناوري اطلاعات در اتاق‌هاي خبر را به همراه نقش آن در ارتقاي عملكرد شبكه‌هاي خبري تلويزيوني از ديد دبيران و سردبيران خبر سازمان صداوسيما مورد بررسي قرار داده است. نظرها در قالب پرسشنامه از 25 نفر از افراد نمونه جمع‌آوري شده و با تكنيك تم، از ميان كدهاي اوليه،5 كد اصلي از پاسخ مصاحبه‌شوندگان به دست آمده است. بر اساس نتايج پژوهش، با وجود موانع و مشكلات بهره‌گيري از فناوري اطلاعات در اتاق خبر، استفاده از آن در افزايش سطح كمي و كيفي توليدات خبري تاثير مستقيمي دارد و با افزايش ميزان توليدات خبري و كاهش خطا، بازده و عملكرد شبكه‌هاي خبري را بهبود و ارتقا بخشيده است. رسانه ملي مي‌تواند با آشنا كردن كاركنان اتاق خبر با مزاياي بهره‌گيري از فناوري‌هاي نوين و آموزش دوره‌اي آنان، تجهيز اتاق‌هاي خبر نوين و پشتيباني مناسب از آنها، به بهترين شكل در اين مسير گام بردارد.

Information technology in the newsroom has an important role. The major issue is how to use information technology in newsrooms of the TV news channels and its role on the performance of them, with the aim of increasing the quantity and quality of news production in TV news channels. The research was conducted through qualitative method, examined the factors influencing on the use of information technology in newsrooms and its role in improving the performance of TV news channels from the viewpoint of the news editors & editor-in-chiefs in the organization IRIB. The opinions were collected through a questionnaire from 25 individuals, and using thematic analysis five main codes out of initial codes were extracted from the intervieweesʹ responses. According to the results, despite the obstacles and problems of using information technology in the newsroom, it has a direct influence on increasing the quantity and quality of news production, and by increasing the amount of news production and reducing errors, the efficiency and performance of news channels has improved. The national media (IRIB) can does the best through making newsroom staff familiar with the benefits of using modern technologies and periodic training, equipping modern newsrooms and supporting them appropriately.
