چكيده فارسي :
انسان كيهاني، اولين آفريده نيمه بشري است. او با بذل تن و جان، جهان را از نيستي رهايي ميبخشد. مرگ بزرگ‌مرد، كه خلاصه و عصاره هستي است، آغاز آفرينشي دوباره است كه با تجزيه عناصر وجود او آغاز مي‌گردد. مرگ براي وي تنها تغيير هياتي است براي ورود دوباره به جهان. گاه اين ورود در قالب گياه، جانور يا يكي از پديده‌هاي طبيعت نظير رود و كوه و آسمان صورت ميگيرد و گاه حيات جاودانه‌اي است در قالب تمام هستي. در اين مقاله به اساطيري كه خاستگاه آفرينش جهان و انسان را «جسد انسان كيهاني» مي‌دانند، پرداخته شده است. بررسي روانكاوانه اين اساطير نشان مي‌دهد كه كهن الگوي بزرگ‌مرد، قدرت بالقوه مادرزاد و پيش‌آگاهانه‌اي است كه در زمينه برقراري ارتباط فردي با ساير افراد و با نوع بشر از آن برخورداريم. در داستان آفرينش انسان، اين الگوي اوليه بشر، گاه به اعماق تاريكي‌ها سقوط مي‌كند و تجزيه مي‌شود. سپس تكه‌ها جمع‌آوري مي‌شوند تا به خاستگاه اصلي رهنمون گردند. يونگ اين فرايند بالندگي را «تَفَرّد» مي‌نامد. تلاشي كه طي آن بشر سعي دارد از حالت پيشين (هويت باستاني) خارج شود و از كليت و انتزاع به جزييت و عينت دست يابد و در مقابل شخصيت گروهي، به شخصيت فردي برسد. در عين حال، قصد دارد، فارغ از قيود جنسيت يا طبقه اجتماعي، طبق انديشه‌اي وحدت وجودي، براي نيل به مقصود نهايي كه خدايي شدن يا يكي شدن با طبيعت است، گام بردارد.
