Designing and developing a Comprehensive Scale of Cognitive and Psychomotor Abilities for Children

هدف از پژوهش حاضر، تدوين يك بسته جامع سنجش توانايي­­ه اي شناختي و رواني حركتي معتبر و روا براي كودكان بر اساس الگوي نظريه ­­اي كتل هورن و كارول بوده است. به اين منظور نمونه ­­اي به حجم 661 نفر در 6 گروه سني 6/5 تا 12/5 ساله به روش تصادفي طبقه ­­اي انتخاب شدند. مطالعه حاضر با كاربرد روش «سنجش بين ­آزموني» و در چهار گام انجام شده است؛ 1) انتخاب مقياس محوري، 2) انتخاب مقياس­ هاي تكميلي، 3) مطالعه تجربي مقدماتي و 4) اجراي مطالعه اصلي و بررسي روائي و اعتبار مقياس نهايي. ضرايب همبستگي بازآزمايي مقياس ­ها بين 0/76 (توانايي لامسه ­اي) و 0/98 (توانايي استدلال سيّال) بوده است كه بيانگر اعتبار مناسب مقياس ­­ها است. ضريب توافق متخصصين به منظور روائي محتوايي بين 6/0 تا 1/0 بوده است. به منظور بررسي روائي سازه به روش تمايز سني، نتايج تحليل واريانس چندگانه نيز نشان داده است كه گروه­­ هاي سني مختلف در همه توانايي­­ ها با هم تفاوت معنادار داشته­­ اند. همچنين نتايج تحليل عاملي، يك ساختار سه عاملي شامل توانايي­­ هاي شناختي، رواني حركتي و سرعت را مورد تاييد قرار داده است. از اين رو، مي ­توان نتيجه گرفت آزمون نهايي از اعتبار و روائي مناسب براي سنجش توانايي­­ هاي شناختي و رواني حركتي كودكان (13 توانايي) برخوردار است.

The aim of this study has been developing a comprehensive, reliable, and valid package for the assessment of cognitive and psychomotor abilities of children. To this end, 661 children were selected using stratified random sampling. They were then divided to six age groups, ranging from 6.5 to 12.5 years old .This study was conducted using the Cross Battery Assessment method in four steps: a) the selection of an axial scale, b) the selection of supplementary scales, c) the conduction of preliminary experimental study, and d) the conduction of the main study and the assessment of the validity and reliability of the final scale. According to the retest results, the correlation coefficients of the scales ranged between 0.76 (for tactile ability) and 0.98 (for fluid reasoning), indicating the appropriate validity of them. The coefficient of agreement between experts for the content validity of the scales was somewhere between 0.1 and 0.6. To measure the construct validity through the age discrimination method, multivariate analysis of variance showed significant differences between different age groups in all abilities. In addition, the factor analysis confirmed this three-factor structure, consisting of cognitive and psychomotor abilities, speed, and efficiency.
