ژئوپليتيك به همان اندازه كه ملي و منطقه‌اي و بين‌المللي است و پديده‌ها را در اين سطوح مطالعه مي­كند به همان اندازه سطح خرد و فرو ملي را نيز از نظر دور نمي­دارد و تحولات مقارن با پديده جهاني شدن و تضعيف مرزهاي ملي و تأكيد بر گلوكاليزيشن يا جهاني محلي شدن نيز خود دليلي بر صدق اين ادعاست. با چنين نگاهي به علم ژئوپليتيك بايستي به تحليل و تبيين ژئوپليتيك واحدهاي استاني در منظومه‌هاي كشوري اقدام كرد. هدف اين مقاله تحليل و بررسي نقش ژئوپليتيك لرستان در رابطه با امنيت ايران است. سؤال اصلي مقاله اين است كه استان لرستان از نظر موقعيت جغرافيايي، منابع اقتصادي و فرهنگي و زيست محيطي و جمعيتي و قومي چه نقشي در رابطه با امنيت ايران بر عهده داشته و خواهد داشت؟ نتايج اين مقاله نشان مي­دهد كه از تمامي جنبه‌هاي علم ژئوپليتيك يعني موقعيت جغرافيايي، اقتصادي، فرهنگي و قوميتي، مذهبي و نيز جمعيتي استان لرستان حائز نقشي كانوني و مهم در امنيت ايران است. با توجه به اين مقدمه در اين مقاله تلاش خواهد شد با استفاده از منابع كتابخانه‌اي و نيز مقالات علمي و پژوهشي و نيز آمار و اطلاعات سرشماري‌هاي سازمان آمار كشور و نيز سالنامه‌هاي آماري و استفاده از نقشه‌هاي متنوع به تحليل و تبيين نقش ژئوپليتيك لرستان در رابطه با امنيت ايران پرداخته شود.

The purpose of this article is analysis of Lorestan geopolitical role in Iran's security. The main question of this article is that Lorestan province in terms of geographic location, economic, cultural, and environmental, demographic and ethnic characteristics what role does it play in Iran's security? The results of this paper show that from all aspects of geopolitical science, geographic, economic, cultural and ethnic, religious, and demographic Lorestan province plays a central role in Iran's security. Given this introduction this article will try using library resources as well as scientific and research articles as well as statistics and census data of the country's statistics organization as well as statistical annals and the use of diverse maps to be paid analyzing and analyzing Lorestan's geopolitical role in relation to Iran's security.
