تأثير سيستم بيمه سپرده صريح بر وقوع بحران‌هاي بانكي (در كشورهاي در حال توسعه)

سيستم بانكي نقش مهمي را در توسعه اقتصادي كشورها ايفا مي‌كند. لذا ثبات سيستم بانكي مي‌تواند نقش مهمي در ثبات اقتصادي داشته باشد. براي اين منظور، برخي از كشورها سيستم بيمه سپرده را معرفي كرده‌اند. اما سيستم بيمه سپرده يك مكانيزم نسبتاً بسيار پيچيده است. بنابراين در اين مقاله، بر اساس شواهد 23 كشور در حال توسعه منجمله ايران، بين سال‌هاي 1980 تا 2002 با به كارگيري مدل لاجيت چند متغيره تلاش شده است تا تأثير سيستم بيمه سپرده صريح بر وقوع بحران‌هاي بانكي بررسي شود. نتايج نشان مي‌دهند كه سيستم بيمه سپرده صريح، احتمال وقوع بحران بانكداري را افزايش مي‌دهد و هرچه كه سطح پوشش بيمه سپرده‌گذاران گسترده‌تر باشد و اين سيستم تأمين وجه شده باشد و عضويت در آن اختياري باشد و نيز در جايي كه توسط بخش دولتي به جاي خصوصي اداره شود اين احتمال افزايش مي‌يابد.

The role of banking system in the economic development of countries is crucial، so the stability of banking system is essential for economic stability. In order to achieve banking stability، some countries established a deposit insurance system. But these kinds of systems reveal relatively complex mechanisms.In this paper the attempt was made to identify the impact of explicit deposit insurance on uprising of banking crises by using a multivariate logit model based on the evidence of 23 developing countries (including Iran) in 1980 – 2002 period. The results reveal that explicit deposit insurance tends to increase the likelihood of banking crises. the likelihood is increasing in the cases of extensive insurance coverage offered to the depositors، the funded schemes، voluntary deposit insurance system، and the government run(rather than the private sector) banking system.
