Social and Religious Changes in Turkey In the era of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk

تركيه در دوره معاصر، تغييرات زيادي را پشت سر گذاشته و كم تر كشوري دچار اين تغييرات شده است. زماني اين كشور سكان دار مرجعيت سياسي و ديني بخش وسيعي از دنياي اسلام بود. زماني ديگر، پيش تاز سكولاريسم در كشورهاي اسلامي گرديد. (تاريخچه) درك چنين تحولي، نيازمند حل ابهامات گسترده در اين زمينه است؛ (مساله) كه مولود عدم تلاش جدي علمي در زدودن آن است. (پيشينه) اين نوشتار در راستاي برطرف سازي بخشي از اين ابهامات در پي پاسخ به اين پرسش است: تحول ديني- اجتماعي در تركيه عصر مصطفي كمال آتاتورك از چه فرايند و برايندي برخوردار است؟(سوال) هدف اصلي مصطفي كمال، رسيدن به تمدن و فرهنگ مدرن غربي بود؛ لذا هر آنچه كه مانع بر سر راه اين هدف محسوب مي شد مورد تغيير و تحول قرار گرفت. (فرضيه) اين مقاله در پي آن است كه بگويد: مصطفي كمال اگرچه نتوانست در اصل اعتقادات و باورهاي مردم خللي ايجاد كند، اما موفق شد فاصله برگشت ناپذيري با گذشته سنتي مردم به وجود آورد. (هدف) دسترسي به چنين هدفي، با مطالعه اسنادي و به روش تحليلي ميسر است. (روش) از اقدامات آتاترك مي توان دريافت كه هيچ تغييري بدون رضايت مندي مردم به تمدن نمي انجامد. (يافته)

Turkey is among the few countries which have faced a number of changes in contemporary era. Back then Turkey was the leading country in political and religious leadership of majority part of Islamic World. Then it became the pioneer country with secular system among Islamic nations (Brief History). Understanding such changes, need resolving numerous ambiguities on this issue (Problem) which is caused by lack of serious scientific efforts in this area by researchers (Background). In order to resolve such ambiguities, the present paper tried to answer the raised question: What were the process and consequences of political and cultural changes in Turkey in Mustafa Kamal Ataturk’s time? (Question) Achieving a modern and western civilization and culture were purposes of Mustafa Kamal; therefore, any obstacles on his way was changed and altered by him (Hypothesis). The present paper tries to say: Although Mustafa Kamal Ataturk was not able to change the principal beliefs and theology of people, he managed to make a irreversible distance with traditions of society (Goal). Achieving such purpose is possible through a library study and an analytical approach (Methodology). Considering the actions of Ataturk we can conclude, no change will lead to civilization without people’s consensus (Finding).
