The Relationship between Attachment Styles and Suicidal Thoughts among Soldiers

مقدمه: در تأكيد بر اهميت ارتباط مادر و كودك، آنچه كه براي سلامت رواني كودك، ضروري است، تجربۀ يك ارتباط گرم، صميمي و مداوم با مادر يا جانشين دائم اوست. بسياري از اشكال روان‌آزردگي‌ها و اختلال‌هاي شخصيت، حاصل محروميت كودك از مراقبت مادرانه و يا عدم ثبات رابطۀ كودك با چهرۀ دلبستگي است. پژوهش حاضر براي بررسي رابطۀ سبك دلبستگي با افكار خودكشي سربازان در يك سازمان نظامي و تعيين نقش پيش‌بيني‌كنندگي آن در اين زمينه انجام شد روش: اين پژوهش از نوع توصيفي ـ همبستگي است كه در سال 1394 روي 361 سرباز به‌روش نمونه‌گيري خوشه‌اي چندمرحله‌اي در شهر مشهد انجام شد. ابزار مورد پژوهش شامل مقياس افكار خودكشي بك و پرسشنامۀ سبك دلبستگي بزرگسال كولينز ريد بود. براي تحليل داده‌هاي آماري از ضريب پيرسون و تحليل رگرسيون چندگانه استفاده شده است. نتايج: يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش حاكي از آن است كه بيـن سبك دلبستـگـي دوسوگرا با افكار خودكشي، رابـطۀ مثبت معنادار و بـين سبك‌هاي دلبستگي ايمن و اجـتنابـي با افكار خودكشي، رابطۀ منفي معناداري وجود دارد. بحث: با توجه به يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش، سبك دلبستگي ايمن و سبك دلبستگي اجتنابي قادرند به‌طور معناداري افكار خودكشي را پيش‌بيني كنند. هم چنين يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش، تأييد‌كنندة نقش سبك دلبستگي ايمن در كاهش افكار خودكشي است.

Introduction: In regard to the significance of the relationship between mother and child, what is essential for children's mental health is to experience a warm, intimate, and continuing relationship with mother or her permanent substitute. Many forms of neuroticism and personality disorders are the result of depriving children from maternal care or instability of child’s relationship with the attachment figure. The current study aims to investigate the relationship between attachment styles and suicidal thoughts among soldiers in a military organization and determine its predictive role in this field. Method: This is a correlational descriptive study conducted on 361 soldiers in Mashhad, Iran in 2015 using the multi-stage cluster sampling method. The data collection instruments of this study were the Beck Suicide Scale Ideation and the Revised Adult Attachment Scale (Collins & Read, 1990). The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Results: The results reveal a significant positive relationship between ambivalent attachment style and suicidal thoughts and a significant negative relationship between secure and avoidance attachment styles and suicidal thoughts. Discussion: Given the results of the current study, secure attachment style and avoidance attachment style could significantly predict suicidal thoughts. In addition, the findings of this study confirmed the role of secure attachment style in reducing suicidal thoughts.
